RAISING HONEYBEES FOR THE GOOD OF THE PLANET AND YOU!

We have had the honor of raising honeybees for the last 18 years. We are grateful to be able to gather their raw, medicinal honey with all of its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties.

Honey is a natural humectant, which means it attracts moisture, helping keep our skin happy and hydrated. The natural sugar in honey also increases the lather in soap, so our customers can enjoy a nourishing, bubbly wash. Currently, our goat milk bar soaps contain our local honey. We have more products on the way that will contain our raw honey.

While we started raising honeybees for our products, we have become one of their most important advocates. We are doing our part to protect their very existence as these special creatures have a profound impact on our lives and planet. With bees responsible for pollinating nearly 85% of all food crops, without them, our options for food would be seriously lacking.  

Part of the way we take care of and protect our bees is using horizontal hives giving them the feel of the natural world. Horizontal hives allow us to not stress the bees while we work the hives. This style of beehive benefits the bees because we have a  minimal impact on the temperature and humidity levels of their carefully tended internal environment.
